The Prodigy Fans Gather For Funeral Of Vocalist Keith Flint Who Died At 49-Years-Of-Age

According to a report from The Blast, friends and family laid to rest Keith Flint, the frontman of the legendary electronic/rock music band, The Prodigy, today, in Essex at St. Mary’s Church. Fans were not permitted to enter the premises but were lined up along the route to honor the late 49-year-old.

The Blast claims thousands of fans gathered to mourn the star, who has been a mainstay in the electronic music scene since the early 1990s. The outlet reported that flags bearing The Prodigy logo were flown in the area and fans played dance music while waving signs in his honor.

As it was previously reported, the 49-year-old, Keith, was found dead in his home in Essex on the 4th of March. It was revealed that the star had taken his own life.

Former frontman of the Sex Pistols, John Lydon, aka Johnny Rotten, commented on the matter and said it was a sign that people didn’t care for one another as they once did. Remaining members of the group asked fans to come by and pay their respects to Keith.

The Prodigy is an electronic dance group that hails from Essex, created in 1990 by the songwriter and keyboardist, Liam Howlett. Keith fronted the band primarily alongside Maxim.

The band came to prominence with big hit singles like “Breathe” and “Firestarter,” from their album, The Fat Of The Land. It’s now recognized as one of the greatest albums of all time, especially among the 1990s era. The Prodigy is one of the most successful electronic acts in history, and have earned titles and monikers such as “the Godfathers of Rave.”

Since their inception, they’ve released a total of seven studio albums, including No Tourists, The Day Is My Enemy, Invaders Must Die, Always Outnumbered But Never Outgunned, The Fat Of The Land, Music For the Jilted Generation, and Experience.
